i recently left my fiancee of 6 years and got a new place with our daughter. since then, i've met a guy who is 10 years older than me but treats me like a queen..he would do anything for me. the problem is i'm fresh out of my old relationship and i'm not sure if i should give the new guy a shot. he seems clingy but maybe that's because i'm not use to the attention. what do u think i should do?

It sounds like because you are just fresh out of a long term relationship that you are comparing this new guy to the old one. You deserve to be treated like a queen, and you deserve to have fun. It might be a bad idea to push the new guy away, but you can still see him if you let him know that you want to take it slow, due to what you just left behind. Also try not to judge him as being clingy. As a new comer on the dating scene myself, it's been 11 months since my last relationship. I just met a guy who I first wanted to think was too nice, but then I realized I wasn't being open minded and I was slightly judgmental based on my previous experience. Give it time and be patient with him. One thing about time, it reveals all. Good luck.

careful with the clingy type baby girl. he might treat you like a queen right now. but until he gets what he wanted you'll just a page in his book. give yourself sometime to see where you're heading and discover yourself again.

Take it slow and get to know him. Also you need to find yourself. Why do you think he is clingy?
I think after 6 years you need a little time to get used to being on your own before you jump back into being a part of a couple.

Go slow, don't rush into anything and give this guy a shot, thers is no such thing as a certain amount of time passing before seeing someone else...just let things happen!!!!

Give him a chance, but tell him you want to take it slow since you just got out of a relationship. If his clinginess becomes too much even after you addressed it,end it.

you should analyse the situation carefully. Observe and try to understand the situation. It is true that physical attraction is an important part but by understanding his nature you can come to some conclusion...This is a subjective question..by filtering you have to make objective.

Give him a chance.....you'll regret it later if you don't. You deserve to be treated like a queen and if thats what he's doing, go for it

not to sound sick here but watch him around your daughter he may be a molester! guys that come on too strong and clingy are usually carrying some major baggage.

give him a chance, but do not move in with him or him with you.
