Actually there are several oils that are good for you, so that isn't true that no oils are good for you. Olive oil is great because your body doesn't store it in your veins or arteries. It is used up, and what isn't used goes out, unlike most oils. But here is a tip, check the bottle of oil to see if it is good for cooking or for salads, because if it is one for cold use only and you heat it, it becomes just as bad as any other oil. Other oils that are good for you are rapeseed, grapeseed and flax seed oils. There are other oils as well that are filled with good fats, and omega oils. Your body needs these good oils to keep in good condition. Avoid ground nut oils, and non descript vegetable oils. Once again, if using these omega oils, make sure they are used properly, cold for salads etc, or hot for cooking.

Yes. You should use Olive oil instead of canola oil. Extra Virgin Olive oil has the good fats.

Olive oil and all oils are actually not healthy. They are junk food containing 100% fat. You get more of the good stuff from vegetables and greens than the junk food called oil.

There's a lot of evidence that suggests very strongly that olive oil is good for your heart, although as other posters have said, it has to be extra virgin or at least virgin. Spain, Italy and Greece are all vast consumers of olive oil and they have significantly low rates of heart disease compared to other European countries. (However, France also has a relatively low rate of heart disease and they eat all that butter and goose fat, so who knows).

It is flat-out untrue that no oil is good for you; the body needs a certain amount of fat intake to function properly (it even needs cholesterol, or at any rate certain kinds of cholesterol, in order to build and regulate cell membranes). They think it might be the phenols in olive oil that help to reduce inflammation and clotting - phenols are chemical compounds with, among other things, antiseptic qualities. The fresher (i.e. the more virgin) the olive oil, the higher the phenol content and the better it does in clinical tests at increasing the elasticity of arterial walls, i.e. making people less prone to heart trouble.

Olive oil is better for you than some other types of oil, and much better than solid fats.

But is is still 100% fat! Use in moderation.

If perhaps it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.

The soup and salad are really good but I can't really say anything about the rest of the food.
