My cat is 6 years old and is getting a blad spot behind his left ear.... like on top of his head. His fur is thinning out in a circle- the shape of it kind of reminds me of ring worm... but there is no crust on his skin or any other sign of irritation. I am 7 months pregnant.... should i rush my little one to the vet?

Yes, you should take the cat to the vet; even without a crust, it could be ringworm and it's better to get it evaluated just in case. The circle shape is generally a good indicator. It could also be a flea bite, a skin allergy, a rash, but it's worth a check, especially if you can afford a visit.

If you are on good terms with your vet and can make a phone call instead of a visit and describe it, do so first, of course. The vet may also be willing to tell you what to look for as indicators. If your cat is an indoor-only cat and the circle has not spread and no one else is affected, then it may be something minor. However, if you or anyone else in the household are immune-system compromised (such as being HIV-positive), run, do not walk, to the vet immediately, and follow immediately to your own doctor.

[Also, because you are pregnant, you want to have someone else taking care of the litterbox now. If you can't do that, you want to be sure to use rubber gloves when you take care of the litterbox, and to be sure to wash your hands each and every time after touching the cat or doing anything with the litterbox because of the risk of toxoplasmosis.]

My cat also got a bald spot on his head once and its still there. I think it is just a natural thing that cats go through.

Balding is usually a sign of a parastie or skin irritant. As you are pregnant, you really don't want to risk it (especally as it does sound maybe like the start of ring worm). I owuld go to the vet to be safe.
