Can anyone send some tips on child care? We have 1 and half year young son who is naughty and very active. We like to give him the right direction from as early as possible...

He is not naughty, he is acting his age. The best thing to do is just give him lots of love and attention. Try not to say no to often, and give him choices. Let him know when you approve of his behavior. Make sure he has plenty of space to play with his toys. Toddlers that are confined tend to get into everything.
Keep him away from sugar, it does cause hyperactivity.

Consistency is the key, but the thing is he is a baby still, and if being very active is a part of it, it's called exploration and development. My 19 month old does understand when he is doing wrong because he hides. But his dad is consistent with discipline and it makes all the difference. I am the softy so he gets away with a lot with me

if he acts out then you should try to put him in time out. If time-out does not work, then sit him on your couch and do not let him off of it and do not let him play around on it, for at least 5 minutes. Every time he is put on it tell him why he is being put there ie: (name) you are having couch time because you did not listen, you threw that, you did this, that etc. When it is time for him to get off say ' Are you going to be a good boy for mommy/daddy ?
If he is very active give him lots of activities he can do on his own, building blocks, paint that only shows up on paper.... if he is an outdoors type of kid explore outside with him but give him enough room to be independant, let him play by himself for a few minutes then take him for a walk, ride on a bike color on the sidewalk with chalk....

You and your wife need to establish yourselves as the childs higher point not as an equal, you are his guides in this life until that is understood by him he will be leading you around. It is very important to establish specific routines in his life to build his character and integrity from the beginning. A perfect place to begin is with a specific bedtime at an early hr. at his age no later than 7pm, eating schedule, playtimes, naptimes. Tell him what is expected of him do not ask him what he wants to do as this creates him having the power and you giving it away to him. You are the parents so be it. Start now.

Naughty and active sound pretty much like any 1 year old. I can understand wanting him to be less naughty, but not less active (obesity epidemic).

well this is what i tell people,, the first man that walked on the moon was probably spanked,. as were the next 11 that did it, all the presidents of the usa, einstien,, bill gates the richest man in the world probably was spanked, the best leaders of the free world as well, when i was in high school we got spanked by the teachers, and i am retired at 45,, god gave us alot of fat on our backside for this,, a good swat

i have 3 children and have to discipline them all differently. my oldest will melt at a hard word my second needs time out. and my third we have found the only thing she takes seriously is being sent to bed.
i dont know how well timeout will work for a child that is 1 and /2

put him in time out everytime he does something he shouldnt. a good time out for that age is in the high chair turned to the corner. explain why you did it, he is old enough to understand, as far as being active, just make sure he has a lot to keep him busy and let him run around outside

dont scare ur child to make it calm. instead use other techniques. otherwise u will produce a coward instead of a brave boy/girl.
