Its depends on how old the dog is,how well trained it is,how active it is,how much food it's eaten and how long since it last went.....amongst other things.

I have two mini dachshunds. One goes #2 twice a day, the other goes usually 3 times. They are tiny little guys and there's not much room in there for them to hold it! However, I've found that both of them tend to drop a deucer within 10 minutes of eating (they eat twice a day). So, they're able to hold it for a while, until more food goes in.

Smaller dogs need to go more often than larger dogs--during the day--every 2/4 hrs--let it go just before bedtime an should be ok until morning!

About as long as any other dog. When u gotta go u gotta go. Just make sure your dog is taken out to do his/her thing as often as possible or as she/he indicates the need.

maybe 6 hours with out causing problems for the dog.They are small dogs and on occasion you can find one that can hold it longer but it is bad for it.

My ten month old puppies can hold it in for 8+ hours
