Bringing the world into the church is not going to help our generation. they need some truth telling, down to earth no holding back, holyghost filled preachers that know how to communicate with them.

Yeah that's a problem I have discussed for years. We are to separate the youth from the world as the world will only bring us down, but there are many churches that seem to be worse then the streets as people are allowed to dress however they want and say whetever they want. Liten to whatever they want and do whatever they want. It's redicuous. What is the point of the church then?

At my old church - they are bending over backwards to the youth. Brining in all sorts of things so that the mass is more interesting and inspiring to them.

When I was young - I never needed the mass dressed up. I thought it was inspiring as it was - just like the bible. I had no need of any of that - nor did the other youths in my church.

Now-a-days, Christians are more preoccupied with making things relevant, more 'interesting' and engaging then with actually teaching their faith. I went to one of those youth masses - it felt empty and long. As though nothing really was going on, despite the numerous activites, bands etc.

If the youth today need to have the bible and Christianity made more interesting so that it holds their attention then something is wrong. What are they really taking away? Are they taking away the core message and faith of Christainty?

Or are they just coming because they get some good times out of it - despite all that 'church stuff'?

I think in my church that they do excellent with the youth and the members.

I am a mormon and they have cubscouts and every wednesday, saturday and sunday to activities that promote faith in christ.

As well my church is the only chuch that does not pay there clergy. There money goes into kids, temples, wards. church run supermarkets, activities books and bibles and marriage counciling services.

The priest hood carry the holy melchezidic priesthood and Aronic priesthoods. Why do I mention these? Because this is the preisthood that Christ carried and is on this earth now.

This priesthood allows us to speak spirit to spirit and that is what kids acknowledge. There are only 2 churchs that claim to carry the true priesthood of God.

That is the Church of Latter day saints and the catholic church. I have been to them both and I choosed the Mormon church because this is what I felt was best for my family in my heart.

Good luck I hope this helps. If you have any intrest check out www.mormon.org

To bring the "world" in to satisfy the youth .... I assume you mean that you are against the idea of making our church more world like. In that I am in agreement with you. Our youth, and our adults, need a message that is not shrouded in worldly clothing.

That being said, I am also for updating the message to show it's relevance to the day. I am for updating our music to show that it can praise and entertain both God and man (See Martin Luther as he took songs from the bars and put a Christian message to the tunes). This is not, in my opinion, bringing the world into our church.

I loved John Paul II's (JPII's ) world youth days. He really did a ministry by traveling to the masses and inspiring the young.
