What do you do with a toddler that mooches food off of people all the time? I don`t want him to catch germs..When someone has food in their hands he grunts and points to the person with food and follows them..LOL, he`s cute, that`s what makes it hard to resist. But seriously, he can get sick ..

I`m also worried about my older kids giving jube jubes and other kinds of chocking hazards. We`ve had this happen.

To the person at the end, I`m not going to smack someone else`s child, especially a 13 month old.

Oh, I'm laughing, my son was the same way!! Fortuneately most people he tried to mooch off of were nice enough to ask me first if it was ok if he had it. However, what I found worked best was I always kept his favorite snack on me... that way if he started to try to mooch off someone else, I'd wip out the snack and say "hey, I have your teddy grahms (or whatever it is), lets eat over here!" and direct him away from that person. Thats all you can really do, is distract him with whatever you think may work, until he's old enough to understand that you don't beg food from other people. Good luck!!

I know what you mean. I don't think I've eaten a complete meal since my little one started solid food. The best thing you can do is make sure you have a variety of snacks with you that hopefully you can distract him with. If he starts to fuss, just remove him from the area. If you intervene quickly with a no, most people will follow your lead and say something like "sorry, mommy said no." Good luck.

First, with a baby in the house, get rid of everything that he could choke on, including JJ beans. I got rid of all the little toys, my oldest is 4 and never had a JJ bean, but I hide the M&M's high and sometimes I give him about 10 in a little bowl after dinner. I know of a little girl that choked & died on a marble!

Tell him NO. Then try to distract him with something else.
