Tefal pans are excellent. I feel you may not be heating the pan sufficiently prior to adding the fish. Alternatively, grease the bottom of the fish with a little olive oil or butter. This will provide sufficient lubrication until the fish starts to exude its own oil in the cooking process.

I have cheap and expensive non stick pans. Both are great. One thing though is you must heat up the pan first before cooking anything or it WILL stick. For example .... when I cook an omelette, I spray with non stick spray, heat the pan over medium heat, then once it is heated I add the eggs. When frying, I let the oil heat before adding my food. Before I knew about letting the pan heat and letting the oil get hot, all the breading would float off of the food -- then the food would be "naked" and the breading would be burned to a crisp. Hope you can figure out what is happening and can get those non stick pans help make your life and cooking better.

Are you talking about frozen fish portions or fresh fish with batter. If it's the latter it could be that the Batter is sticking due to it's flour content. Fish with Batter is better deep fried like at the Chippy. But if you insist on shallow fry then you would have to coat the pan a bit with something.

I have a T-Fal too. If you don't want to use small amount of oil, use a very small amount (like a tablespoon) of beer or cooking cherry or water and that will prepare the pan for cooking and then the juice from the fish will be sufficient but, you probably should not use the pan dry because it might omit toxic chemicals from the plastic nonstick coating.

Tefal is French so they mis-translated the label which should read non-fry sticking pan. You have to use a smidge of vegetable or olive oil.

Fish will stick to almost any thing at the best of times. When you cook don't keep trying to move the fish about all the time , you will only make matters worse.
start it off then turn before it sticks, repeat and the just cook once on each side.

My rule of thumb with the "non-stick" variety of pans is to always "season" them initially, which usually means either adding butter, oil or cooking spray for the first few times. On occasion, if I'm cooking something like eggs, I go ahead and spray them anyway.
