1) More than 50% of conceived embryos die within a few days (before the mother even knows she's pregnant).
20-25% of pregnancies result in miscarriages.
Wouldn't this make God the biggest abortion doctor in history?
2) Let's assume for a moment that the soul does enter at conception (and it's lucky enough to survive god's abortion practices)... after a few days of embryogenesis the blastocyst/embryo occasionally splits into two (identical twins)... does this mean each identical twin only has half a soul? If not where would the other soul come from?
Also occasionally twins or two seperate embryos will combine and fuse into one person (a chimera), does this person have 2 or more souls?
Now the world's best theologians are still struggling for an answer (though many elect to ignore it completely). But I'm wondering what the average people think?

I should have expected there would be a lot of disparaging responses instead of sincere ones. I appreciate anybody who answers the question honestly and thinks about it.
I am not claiming or stating god is responsible for abortion, but asking if YOU think he is. See the difference?
I make no claims about the soul, but provide possible answers to contemplate. Let me clarify the second question in more simplistic terms.
1) Assume you believe the soul enters at conception.
2) If the embryo splits in half AFTER conception what happens to that soul?
3) If two separate embryos (such as two different stem cells implanted through IVF) or twins combine into one body, how does the whole soul thing work itself out there?

Okay, so you think that human, living, embryos are all dead? Science says that they are all living and growing.
How the soul stuff works, science can never say, and if it ever does, it would become unscientific, for the soul is beyond the proper realms of science.
If you did not know this, God is Life. God gives life to everyone and He takes it back from everyone according to His will. To God, and to the person who dies, their soul goes straight to His Presence. There they will receive their reward.
Theologians think too much sometimes. You cannot teach advanced calculus to newborn babies, if you think you can, go ahead and try it and let me know how it went. Yet this would be a much easier thing to do than for us to understand God.
We are like children before God, especially in our understanding of our Heavenly Father. The best thing for us to do metaphorically is to simply cuddle up to God and be at rest in His arms. Know that He is God, He is in charge, He knows what He is doing, and we are dependent on Him, and on His protection.

There is nothing really complex about your question, first off you made an assumption, either it is true or it isn't is not why we are here, but to go off the base of your assumption, The soul enters the embryo at conception, which I believe it does. And the statistics that you have stated, if they are correct, would not make God an abortion doctor. This is because when a death like that happens it is because of our sinfulness and lack of moralities that caused it. That is because we sin and are inherently evil, basically it is part of our DNA in essence. However, because we live in this sinful world the womens womb is not necessarily dirty but is contaminated with germs or whatever and the embryo can be attacked of even die naturally in this early and fragile stage. Now I am no scientist, so I am trying to remember back to high school biology here. So excuse me for my lack of technical terms. So in essence God is not killing the babies, he allows it to happen because of the condemnation of the world we live in due to the fact of original sin.
Now on to the twin thing, I being an identical twin, now that I have a full soul In Jesus my Lord. But seeing that God is all knowing and all perceiving has planned for the identical twins to be that way, nothing is by luck or by chance, all happens with a purpose. That God will for lack of a better term implant two souls in the embryos. That is the best explanation that can be given to that and is something you must remember who God is, he can do it all except evilness.

Why do you blame God for what mother nature is doing?
Life begins at conception. We do not know when conception happens. It could take 48 hours for the egg to become fertilized. God does not cause these natural abortions. God is with the soul which does go to heaven.

>>Wouldn't this make God the biggest abortion doctor in history?<<
In the same way the 100% post-birth death rate makes God the biggest serial killer in history.
