If it's infrequent, and you don't all live at the same address, there would be no reason to add them. If it's going to be a pretty constant thing, and you all live together, then yes.
Adding a secondary driver COULD raise your rates. Only your agent could say for sure.

just call your insurance company and ask it depends on your insurance carrier. My mom's insurance allows me to drive her car while i am not on her policy. I don't live with her so that does make a difference. If you did add the other driver to your insurance your rates would go up because you are insuring another driver.

If your parents are living with you in your household, then yes, you will need to add them to your policy.
If they have their own place, and they are only visiting for a short duration, typically you do not necessarily have to add them to your policy.
If you add them to the premium, it may raise it a slight bit. You can always let the insurance company know what percentage they will be using the car and remove them when they no longer need to use the car.

Read your policy, but I don't believe you have to add a driver who uses your car occasionally. Your parents should not raise your premium.

It will affect your coverage, yes. And (not to slight your parents, cuz I DO NOT KNOW them, lol) if they have a bad driving record, it will make it even HIGHER. In any case, do NOT try to get away without the insurance company knowing, or you might wind up without INSURANCE, too...

It depends on whether the family member resides with you or not. If they live with you, you can add them on to your existing policy, as part time drivers. If they live somewhere else, they would not be covered unless you carried full coverage/comp/coll

With most preferred companies, anyone you give permission to drive the vehicle is covered. The only exeption is if they live with you, then they should be added to the policy.

You do not have to add you parents unless they will be driving your vehicle regularly. Adding them will not increase you rate unless they have bad driving records.
