Many people beleive that gay people are born that way. They have a hormonal imbalance. So why does God hate someone and set them up for a path straight to Hell?
Please give me your view on if you are born gay or if you choose it, and also if you are born gay why does God do this?

Also, are there many gay religious people? Do they still abide by the bible but just skip over the homosexual remarks?

I am not trying to be rude to gay people or Christians. I was just wondering. I mean no harm.

The bible is so outdated and prejudice, it's pathetic. Any christian that still believes homosexuality is a choice, is an idiot.

Morality is defined by an ultimate moral authority, God. If you are a non-believer, then you have no objective moral truths.

Since God, speaking through the inspired prophets authoring the books of the bible, declared homosexuality a sin, then it is a sin.
See: Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9,10; 1 Timothy 1:10.

Thus, homosexuality is just one of a litany of the degradation of the perfect moral state found in original creation. Homosexuality is just one of a plethora of sins now existing in the world. Like all sins, we hate the sin, but we love the sinner.

On the scale of the depravity of sin, homosexuality is no greater than other sins, just that it is practiced openly ("in your face"), so the reaction by some is over the top. Yet when we do some personal inventories of our own sinful natures, I am sure we are found wanting.

Happiness to Christians is more than the needs of the flesh. Continue to pray for strength to resist your urges and strive to be obedient to the scriptures.

Homosexuality is a mental disorder, much like manic depression, nobody is born homosexual. They present themselves from that way by way of choice. Talk to a person who is no longer homosexual, they will tell you,. nobody told me what I was doing was wrong, I just wanted to be accepted etc. These are pretty much people who instead of getting involved with drugs and things for control become gay to get attention or exemplify force. Look past the liberal media and look at the truth, it will set you free.
Now to "religious" homosexuals. These people know what they are doing is wrong because they have decided as a free will choice to live that life style. Now seeing that we are human and make mistakes if you were to do something like that once out of sinful desire God will forgive you, but if you make it a lifestyle of yours and live it day in and day out then God will not forgive you till you have recanted and changed your ways. This obviously wont happen over night but it will happen with the help and grace of God.

I've often wondered the exact same thing.... according to Christians....

Ok.... God makes you who you are.

People are born gay....

So God makes you gay, but since the Bible says it's wrong to be gay... all gay people are going to hell, right???

That's what I take from it.

Well, I personally believe that people are born gay, just like they are born straight or bi, however, God created us in His image, right??? So, if about 10% of the population is gay, that must mean that God's a little bit gay too!!!!

This question is shrouded in religious traps of all kinds; asking a question in such a manner hardly leaves room for any answer.

Many don't buy into "God" as you claim; nor can many buy into "hell" as you claim, or for that matter your religion.

I think the posting is completely off track and shows very narrow thoughts on life or reality as it is.

With that in mind, no offense to you as you claim you do not want to be rude; neither do most towards you.

Religous beliefs are just that, a belief, nothing more. To ask that Gays submit to your preposition that : "why does God hate someone and set them for a path to hell" is as far off base as one can get; it's a very rude imposition and then you want an answer?

It appears you do not require any answer as you have them all to yourself.

Being Chirstian is simply being one of many-many religions, all with "Gods" and demons....

For one, God does not hate them. Some people are born with genetic predispositions--such as alcoholism. Due to the fall of man, we now live in a fallen world, meaning our flesh is under the dominion of Satan.

Being homosexual is sinful, however, it only takes one sin to keep someone out of heaven anyways. If they loved Jesus then their identity should be in Him anyways. Whether I'm gay/straight/whatever I'd say it's unhealthy to focus one's identity on a thing of the world, such as sex. If they have a relationship with Jesus Christ, then honestly while they may still struggling with a sin, what it boils down to is that they have that underlying relationship with Christ that will save them from hell.

First off, I believe, without a doubt, that we are not born gay. Second, why do people say God hates Gays?? He loves them like he loves all of us. We are all sinners. I guess the problems homosexuals are facing is they are not owning up that it is a sin. God hates the sin. How can he forgive something that is not asked to be forgiven?

See if this addresses the question for the asker presently? 2 Samuel 1:26. Did David and Jonathon have 'gay sex'? Are David and Jonathan 'going to hell' if they did?

Could something be good or bad, depending on how one looks at it? Example; an ear of corn; is it several seeds for another planting or food for now?

God hates no one. God hates sin, not the sinner. Gay people are not going to hell if they are following their conscience which may tell them that what they are experiencing is what God expects of them since God created them that way. How could God hate what God has created?
The Church asks both Gays and non-gays to save sex for marriage. Since gays can not marry, the Church asks them to be celibate. If gays can not do this because of whom they naturally are, then it is their personal right to follow their conscience how ever it leads them.
