My father is having problems with a VA dr. Does any one know what the web site is to check whether a dr has been sued or had complaints against him in the past?

The details r my father has been seeing a va doc for some time. He recently started having problems breathing while at the drs office. They had done a chest xray that same day. They sent him by ambulance to another hospital and it was found that he had pnuemonia when I questioned the va they r trying to tell me that their xray showed nothing. Now when I have requested the records they r trying to tell me he never had an xray that day. My Mom was with him and she knows they did and the doc said the xray was clear. Yesterday he had another breathing problem. After he came home from the docs office wear again they did a xray and said it was all clear . And again the hospital did a xray and still shows the pnuemonia. He is now in the hospital and we r trying to get him well. There is alot more info I just can't get into here. The answers so far have not been helpful.

If he is w/ the VA then it will not do you any good to look. If you are treated by the military you are unable to sue them. There is however a governing board the regulates the physicians and if you go to the VA web site you should be able to get the info you need. What is the problem?

You can check the FDA Warning Letter files.
http://www.fda.gov/foi/warning.htm

Then you can check to see if he was issued a "483" which is an investigation that the FDA does. It would tell you if he had violations:
