took my cocker to the vet last night and was told he has dry eyes. his left eye was red and swollen real bad. thought he had pink eye. he had his cornea checked(0k) and was given drops and eye ointment. how long do you think before his eyes look back to normal. ?

maybe 3 or 4 days 5 at the most

Depends on how long the vet prescribed the medication for.

You can usually take the number of days/weeks that you have to apply the drops & ointment, and around halfway through, you should start seeing noticeable results, in most cases.

Depending on what the problem is, it might never be normal again. If he is diagnosed with KCS, then he'll likely always need moisture added to his eyes. If it's just pink eye, it shouldn't be more than a few days I would guess, that you would start to see an improvement.

Did the vet state a cause of the dry eyes? Determining the cause will give insight to the "fix" and healing time.
