can you take the two of these together? i can't get into the dentist until monday and this is all i have. i made the mistake once of taking tylenol 3 with more tylenol and went into a very long deep sleep that lasted 12 hours, i do not want to make the same mistake. i can't get any relief and my dr will not prescribe anything until he sees me. thanks for any help you can give

Well the risk of Tylenol with Tylenol #3 isn't the issue of the codeine. It's more of a risk of taking too much acetaminophen. If you slept alot from the Tylenol it was from the codeine in it. If you don't want to take a nice long nap I suggest not taking the codeine if you are that sensitive to it. Try just taking the Darvacet. That should help with the pain...have you tried 800 mgs. of Motrin? I am assuming you are old enough to take adult hospital strength. All you have to do is take 4 of the OTC Motrin. Just make sure you don't take it on an empty stomach. I don't find Tylenol very effective on pain personally.
