I'm just wondering what has your success rate been with conversions by fear of hell or by giving them some argument that you feel proves that a non-believer in your religion is stupid?

Otherwise, what has been your most effective conversion method?

I think if they offered booty (no strings) they'd be better off!

I haven't converted anyone with scare tactics or calling them names. Not a single one. Though I do believe that there is something in every presentation of the word that is meant for some type of listener. God does the converting, not us. We just say what He's taught us and share how it's affected us.

Most effective method is simple. I simply answer questions, God does the rest. It's not hard, once people see that you arent there to put them down, and that you REALLY DO want to help and share with them, they are much more open to hear what you have to say. There are always difficult questions, but for every question there is an answer. I need only be patient and let the Holy Spirit tell me the answer from what I've learned.

Pheonix, I apologize if my misspelled it. Um Isa. I love righteousness. I believe in the trinity, yet i totally agree with you as far method goes. It states in the bible the laws would be written on our hearts and minds as of the day his son died. My logic is this, if that is the truth and it is what need i say to anyone as far as the way to go. I think everyone should spread knowledge when they get hold of it otherwise you are not loving your brother or your sisters, but it will be up to my lord who he sets in my path to administer to. I'm not going to jump out there to someone who doesn't think a problem exist because it does no good. When the opportunity presents itself is when to administer and in truth we have let people know what time it is. We come in peace but it don't stop the Revelation of fire and brimstone. Those who jump out there are wrong, you cant scare anyone into conversion the same as you cant give an infant hard food.

Absolutely nobody will convert if you just flat out say they're stupid and they're going to Hell just for not believing in what I believe.

All religions depend on members, who are individuals. Thus, it is hard to convince others that there is an objective truth just because so many people believe. Everything is subjective basically.

My strategy is to see what they believe in at first, and then show unto them the flaws of their religion or belief system. After which, I use the Bible and other religious articles to convince them to the true faith.

Haha good question actually!
Because to be honest im not allowed to convert people im a catholic and the church say we shouldn't but, I sometimes cant help it. My dad especially, Im 15 years old and im trying to convert my dad whos 60 to become a christian. I just say the odd comment like 'So dad dont you think its weird how we are alive, have you ever wondered how we got here' and then I start the whole design arguments off about paleys watch newton thumb theories haha, I cant help it I shouldn't I know but I feel sorry for him. My mum died septemeber and I think if he knew she was like in purgatory or heaven then it would give him comfort, knowing he'd see her again. I'm only doing it for his best intentions. Btw hes agnostic so he isnt too sure and isnt really bothered in his beliefs he always says to me 'You know what sarah, There comes to a time your life where you don't care' It's like he knows hes getting old and hes gonna die and he doesn't wanna worry about death he just nkows its part of living. its a strange thing really but its a thing we all have to do.

The fear of an imaginary place called hell has been a strong selling point for Christianity for centuries. Too bad that part was added later when the church wanted control.

I'm betting the number is pretty high when you are talking about children. Some churches run Hell Houses specifically to scare kids and strengthen their faith.

You can’t convert anybody by fear. Not really. We can’t know the profound love of God if our minds are clouded by fear. How can anybody have a two-way conversation with God if they are scared to death of him?

This week it was forty-five, which is up from last week's forty-two.

Oh wait, I misread that. I thought you asked how many people I've called stupid.

And I agree with Courtney on the free booty.

Sadly the most effective means of converting anyone is money.
