I was in a similar situation for 3 years and it sucked. The best advice that I can give is to get out now. He isn't worth your time if he can't stay out of trouble. He isn't ready to be in a serious relationship if he can't keep himself in check. Also if him being in trouble is affecting you then he must not care enough about you to keep you out of the line of fire. I had to learn this the hard way, I hope you don't have to. Try to remember you are his girlfriend not his mother. It isn't your job to keep him out of trouble, he is a big boy now.

Does he know that all his trouble is interfering with your relationship? Tell him, and if he really cares about it, he should be able to lay off the trouble.

Dump him.
Why would you want to be with someone who is "always in trouble."

I hear, JAIL.
