Completely dependant on the weather, time of year, the day. I've been in early June late May on weekdays when I've walked on rides and went on a couple of time without having to get up from my seat. There have been other times where I've had to wait for an hour.
If your going in the summer and its a sunny day, expect it to be crowded.

I know that there were over 3.5 million visits last year (or appx that from an article I read). If you are trying to get the day to day information, it really depends on the season, event and day.
From when it opens (May 6th) until June 25th or so, because school is still on, days are either closed for events or very VERY quiet. If it is rainy or overcast, it is also very slow and you will be walking onto rides (however, if there are thunderstorms all of the rollercoasters, as well as Drop Zone close).
If you are chosing a day to go, try midweek during the school year (if it is possible). It is will be quiet and easy to walk onto the rides!

This really depends on the weather and the time of year.... Towards the end of June you get a lot of school trips and this makes it extremely busy.... Also attaractions tend to make it busier...
They don't post day to day info but last year there were just over 3 million visitors....
