Does anyone know if Pet Pride - Good & Meaty (the one listed for recall) is different from their Gourmet Portions brand? Even the girl at the recall line did not know.

Yes, it is easiest to find by doing a search within the Pet Pride list using the number on the bar code on the back of one of the pouches. I have some and found it on the list with an abbreviation of "GP", which is the Gourmet Portions. Luckily the expiration date didn't match on mine, but I have some O'Roy pouches (from Walmart) that do match. And one of my two dogs got sick in Jan. of this year and was diagnosed with renal problems. Neither of my two dogs showed symptoms, but the one was diagnosed accidentally when the vet ran a organ function scan on her prior to doing a dental cleaning and she showed highly elevated enzymes for her liver and kidneys. I spent about $800 in vet bills and perscriptions for kidney infection, which she tested negative for. She got better with treatment, but I kept feeding the pouches on top of both of my dogs' dry food. Luckily I switched brands of the pouch food depending on where I shopped. I don't know how much of the tainted food they ate, but I just happend to put a partialy used pouch in the freezer beause they didn't want to eat it. I forgot about it and just ran across it and sure enough, everything matched up on it, includng the date.
