What were the signs?
I am getting a severe pain under my sternum and i'm worried it might be an ulcer after i took an overdose of NSAID's the other night.

NSAIDs even in normal doses can cause ulcer or gastritis (raw inflamed areas).With that history you need a doctor to put a hand on your abdomen. Probably after than he will give you a PPI like Losec and some antacid.

Ulcers tend to be in the duodenum, and the classic symptoms are severe heartburn and pain after eating, mine have healed up, but have left me with oesophagus, this is no trouble as I take"Zoton " Go to the doctor and get a gastroptomy and then you will know the state of your stomach

nsaids can & do cause stomach ulcers if not taken in the proper dose and taken with or after food. Symptoms of ulcer include pain as you describe, indigestion, pain (especially after eating). If it persists, consult your GP.

mums got an ulcer and when she has an attack shes up all night in agony. nothing helps it, and theres no real cure as far as i know. things like acidic fruits, strong ingredients like garlic and stress all set them off xxx
forgot to add, the signs are just chronic pain in the stomach. very very bloated feeling, and sometimes being sick.

that pain is probably too far up to be a stomach ulcer..it may be a hernia or due to stress

You need to call your family doctor and have them refer you to a doctor that can do a EGD (endoscopy) a upper scope. That way they can take a look inside and see whats going on...good luck
