It isn't. That's why Satanists don't believe in God OR Satan. Anton LaVey made it crystal clear that Satanists do not believe in, or worship, Satan.

I'm an atheist and I don't believe in any deitites, which is why it's pretty funny when someone claims that atheists worship the devil.

I love this question. It's been asked several times and almost always does not have a satisfactory answer.
I do not believe it's possible to separate a belief in Satan with a belief in God. I think perhaps the more appropriate question is, how can someone believe in evil spirits and not believe there is a God.
Even Satan believes in God.... and actually knows more about God than we do ourselves. He just chooses to oppose God.
Christians believe Satan is working very hard to distract people from anything that is of God, himself included. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Satan is FOR God, only that he is created by God.

Very good question.

It is impossible to believe in the devil and not God. Because God created the devil so therefore the devil is underneath Gods ultimate control. Though it may not seem that way at times. Where did you come with this question? What is your personal opinon. Haven't you ever look outside at a beatiful sunset or sun rise and thank God for his beauty? You by all means don't have to agree with me. But I know that there is a GOD who has passion and control over everything including the Devil. If in doubt find a bible and read revelations.

When people rebel against God, spiritual blindness/death happens. So, believing in the devil is also difficult. Unless one totally sold out to the devil, rejecting God. There is still a soul connection.

To believe, to me, is to trust & obey God. To believe in the devil would happen after rejecting the love of Gods Love,Truth & Word.

But person is captive/ possessed or oppressed by the devils deception so, I don't know how they can trust & obey the devil, but believe the devils lies & become messengers of the devil.

Humans like to believe in things that make them feel good or give them excitement, even though these things may only be just ideas. It's nice to believe that we can fly like birds, but this only happens in dreams.

So the devil is an excitement for some. All the things associated with demons and the dark ar exciting, stimulating to the selfish ego. But believing in God is a threat to the proud because it requires meekness and humility and challenges one to grow in purity. So the selfish and proud love the thought of the devil and what he can deliver, but despise the things of God, so they reject the thought of Him.

It's one thing not to believe in God but only a fool would not believe in the Devil!

Never knew of anyone who believed that. Most Satanists (especially those within the Church of Satan) don't believe either exist. Those few who actually do claim Satan exists, believe God does as well (some will even claim they're both the same thing).

They find it easier to believe evil is caused by the devil. It takes faith to Believe in God and for some people that's too much work.

Licking your elbow is impossible. Believing in the Devil and not God can be done easily depending on their theory. I.E. God is dead or there never was a God....that type of thing.

Yes, it's possible.
I don't think it's reasonable at all though.
People believe in a lot of things.
The human mind is able to believe in a plethora of things.
You knows what can go on in the human heart, expect for God.
