I'm 5'2'' and weigh 214 pounds. I would like to weigh maximum 155 pounds.
I started eating 5-6 small meals a day (yup, really small), drink loads of water, and yesterday I walked for half an hour.
I'm wondering if it would be ok for me to walk every other day, and when I'm not walking - exercise at home - also every other day.
My question is whether is this a good plan. Bear in mind that I've never exercised and that half an hour is a huge step forward for me.
My diet consists mainly of lean meat, soy, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, vegetables, cereals and good fat such as olive oil.

Your plan sounds good. You should walk at least one mile per day. Walking is the best exercise you can do. You don't have to go to a gym. You should walk briskly for it to do you the most good. Not running, not slow. In between. Maybe you could walk 30 minutes twice a day until you can build up to a mile. I don't know how long it takes to walk a mile. I'm sure it's different for everybody. You could clock it on your car to see how far a mile is. You may be able to walk it briskly in 30 minutes. Do what you can and work up to more as you can handle it.
Good luck.

Either lengthy or brief time period plan. It is an issue of private option you ought to make a decision. It will rely relatively at the plan you might love to attain in lifestyles. Plannning is a steady method so long as we are living. It is an issue of making plans out what lifestyles you're going to stand. Things in lifestyles might be performed via a brief time period relying at the direction you're into. Thanks for asking. Have a fine day!

It's a very good plan. If 30 minutes is too much for you right now, work up to that. Or try 3 10 minute walks, instead. You don't want to try too much too soon and either hurt yourself or burn yourself out.

I also recommend the website http://www.sparkpeople.com It's a free site with lots of great info for weight loss and fitness.

start mentally...
think about natural foods, after all, nothing is better for you than what nature gave us, such as fruit, vegitables, grains, etc. also think about eating raw foods, think how all other living things eat raw food, while humans eat cooked stuff. if one must cook it to render it edible, one wasn't intended to eat it.
watch out for oils, salt, fried foods, junks foods, over eating, long ingrediants list, preservatives, colorings, other additives, and suger.
hope I helped
