So I downloaded the driver onto my computer, but the computer itself doens't even detect the software connected with the usb cable. HELP!!! and I can't seem to find camera and scanners wizard on my computer...

go to my computer and look for an extra drive.

go to control panel if you have windows xp click on printers and other hardware than scanners and cameras and in the new window that pops up there will be "add imaging device" on the left hand side under the title imaging tasks. click on the add imaging device to bring up wizard.

For older versions of windows go to control panel and click on the scanners and cameras icon to bring up the screen which you can then click the add imaging device.

You can also try looking for the camera under my computer it will show up as another drive like drive f

Also dont forget that after you hook up your camera you will usually have to turn it on and in some cases turn the selection dial to the green arrow or press the green arrow before the camera comunicates with the camera.
