Been on 4 dates, he calls everyday, we have only really made out, no sex. He has not once tried to sleep with me which I love bc it shows he respects me. We are both 20. How do I know if I am just a hook up or a potential girlfriend. He also is protective over me, (not too much though)

If you've been on four dates, how is there any hook-up thing going on? You're already dating. Obviously ou're a potential girlfriend, and yes, it's 4 dates and he hasn't tried to sleep with you? Obviously it's not about sex.

i think that you are definitely a potential girlfriend because if you were just a hook up then he would have tried to have sex with you by now. try talking to him and ask him what he really wants right now and tell him how you feel, and then take it from there. good luck :)

If he has asked you out 4 times, calls everyday, and made out with you, you are his next gf, if you accept of course, he may be wondering the same about you, and too afraid of rejection, I don`t think anybody would spent that kind if time with a girl, if they werent interested in her, if he asks you out 2 more times, then you should ask him where he sees the two going with this, if he says he does not know, it most likely means that he is afraid of being rejected. Then ask him If he wants you as his gf. I think he is just scared to ask, so you might have too

I think he really likes you. He hasn't mentioned sex to you yet and he calls you on the regular. So maybe he sees you as a potential girlfriend

As a 25 year old guy, he definitely likes you. He is protective and just making sure that he doesn't make the wrong move.
He values you, but does not want to do anything he regrets. If it was just a hookup, he wouldn't be so conservative and would have just went for it.

this screams at me potential girlfriend .. guys don't protective of a woman if they are just a one night stand.. they get that way if they really start to love you and care about you .. my man is very very very protective of me and we been married for almost 3 years now...
