That has been happening for years, but there is a way around it. BUY good dog food. I feed a brand called Chicken Soup For The Dog Lovers Soul. Yes it sounds like a tree hugger dog food but it is all natural and contains no corn. Most people say the can not afford to feed quality food to their dog but if you read the bad you feed less(or if you free feed they will eat less) which means poop less.
The other plus..............You don't support out sourcing. High quality pet foods are made in the U.S.A. form products grown in the U.S.A.

I live in Asia, the dogs here are all in brilliant shape, The pet foods here are of a very high standard, I've sent the info on our current (local) pet food that we mix in with Science diet for variety, back to our vet and he says he wishes he could import it, he's really impressed at the quality. They care about pets in general - if they send it out, believe it's quality, no matter where it goes. I've seen this for myself.
No reason to worry if it does get made here, but I doubt that's the case.

Some of the ingredients are imported from China. The manufacturing process is done in the US. This is why it is sooo important to look for high quality pet food that is manufacturered with human grade ingredients.
