Put forth the effort and time that they use to critize some one grammar and such and use that energy towards focusing on more possitive things. Why do they feel the need honestly.

Obviously, I knew my grammer was not correct in my question. This was just to see the reaction I would recieve. It goes to show that some have nothing else better to do then prop themselves up on a pedastool and be demeaning to others. I understand, that some people feel it is important to have good grammar and spelling. But, we are not submitting job resumes. Some really need to get a grip and relax a little this is supposed to be a fun enviroment. Not hostile, so please by all means lighten up a little. To those that agree with me...thanks. I really was just trying to state a point. Oh for the one who asked me what there grammar error was, it was not punctuating the "I" so I am educated. Thank you!

Oh, if this computer monitor were a piece of paper and if I had a red pen, the things I could do with your question!

I understand what you're asking. I've been known to correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. in the past, but usually only when the question is loaded or absolutely ridiculous and has been asked to get people riled. I always answer the question, then I throw in my blurb about proper grammar, etc.

When I see questions that are poorly worded, punctuated, and have numerous spelling errors, I truly feel sorry for the people. My first thought is, "Do they actually speak like they type?" and wonder if so, how these people are taken seriously in life. Bad grammar (when written, especially so when spoken) makes people appear ignorant and uneducated in my book. If they can't take themselves seriously and make every effort to appear intelligent and cultured then they're a waste of my time, quite honestly.

Because reading anything well written, with correct spelling and punctuation is easier to read and the understanding comes through much faster.
Some questions are impossible to understand.
You wonder why some take time to critize bad grammar and spelling, others wonder why correct spelling and grammar isn't practiced.
Habits are formed. Make sure they're good habits.

Because reading a well written question, with correct spelling and punctuation is easier to read and understand. Some questions are impossible to understand using bad grammar.

Also, it's in ones nature to criticize. An example are you focusing on the more positive things this site has to offer.... or.... are you focusing on what is wrong? - just have to adjust your view and everything else will take care of its self.

IMO correcting atrocious grammar, horrendous spelling or incomprehensible statements is a positive thing.

BTW, "possitive" is not a word, "positive" is a word, would you care for a further critique of your question?

The point is, simply running a spell check makes questions more easily read and understood and no answer can be any better than the question asked.

Well, sometimes the grammer is so bad, you can't answer because you don't know what they are asking. Yes, we could just ignore the person, but better to let them know to rewrite their question so we can answer it intelligently.

Yes i do agree with, but i think your just taking the mikki here;
"...some one grammar..." what's all that meant to be about?
"...the need honestly...." what happened to the comma?

"...answering?
Put fort..." what about 'would'?

PS. i have made a deliberate grammatical error in this answer- see if you can spot it!
