Depends on the crowd. A blue collar crowd or younger (under 27 crowd) will probably be fine with Bud or Coors light. If you really want to impress them, have something like Amstel Light, Widmer Hef, or Heineken.

If the crowd is a little more upscale or beer educated, then Sam Adams, Sam Adams Light, and some other microbrews would probably be your best bet. Gordon Biersch and the Trader Joe's label are also great options.

I'm not sure if you are talking bottles or kegs, so it's kind of hard to get more specific. Good luck to you! : )

Any kind is fine. If it's a really big party you might want to get smaller amounts of 2 or even 3 types so people can have a selection. I'm sure everyone would really like that. Get something basic, something light, and a darker beer!

Really, any kind is fine, and I'd say the lighter the better. Even beer snobs admit to drinking cheap beer like Bud Light or Miller Lite if it's the only thing around.

Depends on where your located...check local breweries they usually let you sample beers and you can buy by keg or by bottles. My fav is Mirror Pond, don't if they sell that where your located though. Ale's are usually nice to just sip on they don't have bitter after-taste.
