We want something meaningfull... we know it doesnt last that long but it would be pretty sweet... does anyone have any ideas??

Possibly a word that is equally specially to both of you, a symbol that represents your love. ( im an aspiring tattoo artist) there are many small designs you can get, i am not one to suggest getting someones name tattooed or anything like that, but there many options. just look around on the internet if you found a tattoo shop to get them at already look through their catalouge of tattos and find something you both love. but becareful getting in on your inner lip and make sure your going to a good clean reliable shop.

My friend and her boyfriend did the lip tattoo thing too. They each got a simple heart outline tattooed. It looks really good. I don't really know much about tattoos, but some people have said they dont last all that long in that particular area. At least the heart is a simple enough shape with more than enough meaning. So, if it does begin to fade later on down the line, just be happy, and dont pout for a while! ;-) Good luck to you and your boyfriend on your tattoos!

What is something that only means something to the two of you? If it doesn't mean something then it is just going to be something you will look at and think it is stupid.
Sit down together and think about something, maybe an inside joke or maybe pet names that you have for each other. Maybe a single word that expresses how you feel for each other.
There is not much that can be done on the inside of the mouth that will look good.
Good idea getting it somewhere that might go away and is not visible.
Did you ever think about getting one in the clear blacklight ink somewhere?

My buddy got one of those. His used to say "Soldier". Now it just says "Sold r". Another buddy got one and two years later her "Candy" turned into a single a with an incomplete n.
It doesn't look like a tat there will hold for long just because of the fact the skin inside your mouth is always renewing itself.

i havent a clue..maybe a real tattoo artist in your town will sit down with you guys and you can evaluate his or her portfolio, look at catalogs etc you guys can come up with an original tat that you will love

OUCH!!!! Why would you do that there? And do you plan on being with this guy forever because tattoos are forever. And I pray you dont catch an infection. The human mouth has more bacteria in it than a dogs mouth.
