put on a bandaid and just be careful, you will have to wait for the nail to grow out and heal. really nothing you can do to fix it.

Ouch. That does sound painful. Unfortunately the only thing I can think of is keeping a bandaid on it until it grows out a little further. And eat JELLO!!!! It makes your nails grow really fast.

Sally Hansen makes a good nail glue that is safe and wont cause irritation to your nail bed. (nail glue for real nails, not fake nails) i would try that, neosporin it and put on a band aid. keep it covered to avoid bacteria getting in it. If your nail turns a different color, see a doctor asap.

yow!! i just had a sliced facking nail last week. i got it from cutting chicken with a huge knife. sliced right thru my nail and to my skin..didn't cut my skin though. and the nail was sliced realllly low. so wore a bandaid over it for a week and a half..till the nail was ready to be cut so it wouldn't snag on anything and get ripped off. cause THAT woulda been the bloodfest of 2007, yo! bandaid it up! good luck to ya.

Cut it back as far as you can so it doesn't catch on things & then put a bandaid over it.
You might want to rub some neosporin on it to stop the pain a bit & keep bacteria out.

All you can do is wait for it to grow out and then you can cut. But until then put a band-aid around it so it would tug on anything and cause more pain.
Been there done that!

Keep it trimmed back as it grows out and use some Sally Hansen clear polish on it. If it gets worse see your doctor.

I have the same thing happening with my thumb nail. I just put a little crazy glue on it and it's not bugging me or snaggin on anything now! So try a lil crazy glue.
