If your dog is a puppy you might want to try a local puppy kindergarten. Also, try very short training sessions of about 10 minutes each a few times a day. Follow the training session with play sessions - and be sure to use plenty of enthusiastic praise (sort of very mini play sessions) as rewards for successful training performance (at the time each behavior is displayed.) Here is a site with lots of FREE tips (without needing to purchase an e-book or CD):

Your question isn't reallly precise enough. Are you training a full-grown dog or a puppy? Are you house training or obedience training? The correct answer will depend on the wording of your question. Why don't you try again.

Playful and lazy?? That's a hard combination... Try obedience classes.

Lazy and Play full that would be an oxymoron. Which do you prefer; playful or lazy?

There's a very good book out called, 'Don't Shoot the Dog.' I read it and it helped me train my dog to do anything.
