Try these Scriptures:
John 15:15 -- No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
John 8:34-35 -- Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
1 John 3:2 -- Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
The word 'son' has the same meanings today as it did in NT times. But like so many other words, it has multiple meanings; and its exact meaning is derived from its context.
From the Scriptures I quoted above, it can clearly be seen that the saints of God are to be true sons of God in the same way that Jesus is a son of God. These Scriptures show clearly that they will NOT be servants.

You misunderstand Scripture. Son spelled with a capital 'S' refers to Jesus Christ. Son spelled with a lowercase 's' refers to a saved human male. there are also daughters of God. together the sons and daughters of God make up the children of God. There were Old testament figures that were saved, which is why you find references to the sons of God in the OT. There is also the Son of man, which is Jesus Christ the prophet of prophets, and the son of man, which is Ezekiel the major prophet. Anybody today who prophecies in the name of Jesus and does so according to Scripture is a son of man, but there is only ONE Son of man.

Jesus is God's only begotten son. He was with God from the very beginning of creation. He is one part of the trinity. All three, God the Faher, God the son,(Jesus) and God the Holy Ghost were all three present and took part in creation.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Note where it says " Let us make man in our image, after our likeness". That was our spirit/soul that they were making after their own images. God's one true only begotten son is Jesus.
God created man and woman. But only those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior, and obey God's laws are considered God's children. Because those who do not accept Jesus and obey God's word are the children of satan.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Why?? Because God said so.

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, He has always been here, He wasn't created from anything like man was
mankind are the sons (& daughters) of God; children of God; He is our Father because He created us; mankind was not begotten, we were created from dust.
