They are likely to let him in with no trouble. But you are a different story, especially traveling with an older boyfriend. You should have signed permission from both your parents saying they know you are going to Canada and permit you to do so. For best practices you should make sure they know the approximate time you are crossing and make sure they are by the phone then.
Edit: Cool. I tracked down some new information and it is less ambiguous. I change my answer. You both need written permission from both your parents.

I doubt that they'll let you cross at the border. I've been going to Canada regularly for over 30 years and they've tightened up considerably in the last 5 years. They generally turn back people who look like they're going to be a problem. For example, they'll often turn back someone in an old car which they fear could break down and cost the Canadian tax payer when it has to be towed off the road. They also want to see if a minor has parental permission if they're not with both parents. A car load of teenagers without an adult would probably be a red flag. Even if you had a parent, they might want to see letters of permission from the parent of the other kids. This is going by what I see at the border crossing from Washington state to British Columbia. It's possible that they're more easy going at border crossings back east, but I'd have a backup plan for something else to do just in case.

You never been to the border towns have you.... I have family in Windsor (accross from Detroit. MI) and they always get underage kids trying to come accross to get into the bars...All ages go to Canada either by car or by bus... The trick is not to lie to any questions that are asked.... They look for hesitation in answers and they can twist the questions around to test if you are truthful.
If you come by plane, please note you will need a passport to go back to the USA.... If you come by car, you need a legal domcument.... Birth certificate, drivers license etc...
If a bunch of teenagers try and cross in the same car, I agree with another earlier post.... You will probable get checked at the border.. But its not uncomming that a group of teens cross to go shopping... Be honest and don't bring alcohol, drugs, or guns.... You should be fine....
I find when I cross, it is tougher since I am Canadian and I get a ton of questions at the Canadian border.... When I come back to the US, it's easier for me to cross.... Each country will take care of their own and so make sure you have the proper documents to come back into the US. Since it seems you are an American, I would worry a bit more about the US border patrol..
You can always call ahead before crossing and ask what the rules are and what is needed....
Hope this helps...

A carload of teenagers is going to be stopped at the border and searched for drugs and liquor, for sure. You better be squeaky clean.
