Hey, I am starting out as an Eighteen Year Old Male in the world of Comedy. A lot of my jokes are not funny so don't flame as I think You'll find every famous Comedian reuse their best jokes again and again. I am using Yahoo Answers as a testing platform and thus your honet opinions, contructive criticisms and critical changes would be very helpful.Often I can create ten awful jokes and one funny so please dont state horrible things like "you should never do stand-up) Thank You
I am testing new joke formats such as surreal so is this funny (I come up with about 5 good and 20 bad a day so you know dont flame)

My question really is as an 18 year old bot if I was doing stand up would it make you laugh....my best quality is quick wit so I would rip the audience whilst getting them on my side by exploiting a minority member for larger audience benefit

I personally hate it when commedians pick on someone in the audience. I think it is rude and cruel. Maybe making a joke or two, but nothing exploiting. Kinda like the American Idol auditions used to be fun, but now they are down right cruel, turn my stomach and I won't watch the show!

THe joke was really quite funny, but totally ruined by your three paragraphs insecurity and concern that we wouldnt like your humour. You'll be a great stand up comedian in the future if you dont give the audience a two hour speech on why you'll understand if they dont think you're jokes are funny. Thats what i honestly think, i'm really not being mean, so good luck out there! xxx
