My fiance and I have been with each other for 7 years. He had about 5 thousand dollars in debt when we got together and has gotten about 3,000 dollars more since then. (hospital bill) I got my taxes back last week and paid all of my credit card debt. Now he is pissed that I paid of my debt and didn't pay his that he got before we were even together!!! Should I feel guitly that I paid mine instead of his. He's calling me selfish and making feel bad.

I'm sorry, but your fiance is the one that's being selfish expecting you to pay his bills, I think not.

I know it's none of my business but if he has these kinds of credit problems and expects you to bail him out, you might want to consider if this is the person you really want to spend the rest of your life with. I mean how do you think he is going to treat you after your married? Just my opinion hope you are not offended.

It was your taxes, and your debt. You are not responsible for him. He is acting like a baby, and expects that someone else is going to take care of his irresponsibility.

I have two ex-husbands who did that crap to me. I now have bad credit. Just because you are getting married, it does not mean that you have to be responsible for his debt, unless you incurred it together (meaning you both are benefiting from the thing that you spent the money on, like a house)

Hell no you should not feel guilty. In fact, you should be very proud of yourself. Do not let him make you feel bad. He is just jealous that he could not pay his off. Calling you selfish is very childish. Tell him to grow up and take care of his own responsibilities like a man!

What totally sucked was the fact that after college I had so much credit card debt that piled up and it was really affecting my credit score. I searched around and tried a few of those debt consolidation sites but found that nothing that I tried really worked. I found this kick *** site that helped me alleviate these problems and I want to share it with you.
I helped me out so much and I hope it helps you as well.

hell no! you shouldn't feel bad. That was his responsibility before you and it needs to be his after you. But if he doesn't handle his debt before you are married, it will be both of yours. So think about that.

are you cohabitating and sharing expenses and mingling bank accounts and he contributing more financially to the situation (ie making a lot more than you)? that only way i could even begin to envision him having any leg to stand on here. if not, think he being unreasonable and might want to think about how money going to be managed when you get married.

Your fiance is self centered tell him

"How can I take care of you when you don't even take care of your own self"
