I have a real fondness for funny/comedy movies. One of my favorite movies is "The Life Of Brian." It is, as many of you probably know, a Monty Python movie about a man that is mistaken, by the local people, to be the Messiah. He is not the Messiah and he knows it but ..... none of his new followers will believe him when he says so.

I just find it funny ...... no, I find it hillarious! I think God does too. God has such a great sense of humor after all.

What do you feel about this?

I love to laugh. I'm sure God does too because he's always playing jokes on me.

I love all sorts of movies and TV series that make fun of Catholics. Maybe I shouldn't. But that would be my own sin. And it's for no one else to point out.

I've seen many people come BACK to Catholicism over movies like Stigmata and Constantine. Both films my church looks down on. But if they're bringing the lost flock back how can they be bad?

I love Nacho Libre. It's hysterical! As a Franciscan myself maybe I am supposed to be offended. I'm not. I love the part where Nacho sneaks up on his friend and dunks his head in holy water to baptise him. I laugh my socks off every time.

Father Ted anyone? It's all kinds of wrong on so many levels. Where Dougal picks up a garden statue of the Blessed Mother and does "Booooo" in the window to scare Fr. Ted. Hysterical.

My Lutheran cousin is horrified that I laugh at such things.

God definitely has a sense of humor. There are some movies that are suppose to be funny that probably would make it with Him but there are alot that would.

I love The Life of Brian.. I don't see anything sacrilegious in that movie at all. It was attacked by many people, most of whom had never seen it. The part at the end (Always Look On The Bright Side of Life) is priceless. You have awesome tastes in movies.

I consider lots of the comments left right here. regrettably, they hit on an concept that's particularly valuable and then flog it to dying with the help of repeating an identical formula. The worst of those grew to become into Police Academy. the 1st action picture grew to become into particularly a snigger, yet, come on - grew to become into it somewhat good adequate to spawn 6 follow- united statesand a television sequence?. The bare Gun trilogy grew to become into good and thank God that they had the sense to provide up at 3. My vote for the funniest action picture of all time? - Blazing Saddles. a authentic classic and not in basic terms a series of spoofs of this years' hit movies.

Laughter is WHO WE ARE baby! Yeah! That's how we know we're ALIVE. God is everything, God invented humor! What you laugh at is not important. Just remember that the last laugh is on YOU (at the 'end' of your life, can you hear it? Ha ha ha, didn't you know you MADE THE WHOLE THING UP!?)

There is no such thing as going too far when religion is concerned. Laugh it up buddy. Enjoy yourself. As far as I am concerned, religion is the funniest thing there is going.
