There's too many dogs and puppies in the UK that need homes, rather than subjecting a puppy to a flight and a huge change of environment, that really is not fair on the dog. Give a home to a pup that really needs it rather than for the sakes of having a fashion item or to lining someone's pocket

Hi,

To enter the UK, a dog has got to have a pet passport which takes a minimum of 7 and a half month.

Therefore I do not think that you can get a puppy from a foreign country at all.

Sorry

It's not easy. First you have to find a breeder who is willing to keep a puppy for you until it has fulfilled all the requirements listed on the DEFRA site. By the time the puppy was old enough it would be around 9 months old.

Don't know what country you currently reside in but there are quarantine laws that prohibit animals being brought in from other countries due to Rabies, especially from America where rabies is active.

Don't forget if you take a dog from the US into the UK the UK is going to quarantine it for a miniumum of 6 months because of rabies. You wouldn't want the first important six months of the puppy's life being cared for by a stranger.

There are plenty of dogs needing homes in whatever country you currently reside in.

I'm not sure about what the prices would be, but I'm sure it would be outrageously expensive.

If you're looking to buy a puppy, try going with someone in your area. Over the seas transactions can be possible scams.

Depends where you are???? If you find a dog here is the good old USA I think the first ting to ask if the breed is willing to ship a pup to you. Some will and some won't. I never did.
Also ask what they will charge you for shipping. It can get very expensive.

Why import one, when there are more than enough puppy's in the UK that need loving homes.
Ask at the RSPCA, Blue Cross they will tell you the same.

You need to elaborate a little; do you own the dog and have moved recently or is it a new purchase, is it for breeding or as a pet?
