It's a mix of sulfur and water. You know the sulfur is insoluble, so what do I do with it? Do I have to separate them or do I drop it to the sink? How can I do a separation and what do I do with the separated substances?

You can get the elemental sulfur out by filtration. If it is colloidal in nature, you will probably need to use a very fine filter. The filter cake, though it will look very solid will probably contain about 75% water. The water can be driven off by heating the cake and melting the sulfur. If the sulfur is pure and bright yellow, it can be sold. The filtrate (water) will probaby still contain some small amount of colloidial sulfur and will need to be treated. The most common approach would be via biological treatment. If there are no other contaminants, you could use the water for irrigation since sulfur is actually good for many plants and helps condition the soil.

Where does the sulfur/water mix come from?

May depend on where you live. Some countries or jurisdictions may be strict. If it is just a little, drop in the sink. If you have lots, or a continuing supply, you might want to consider seperating, recycling, or selling. There is sulfer in food, so the sewer system can probably handle it.
