My boyfriend just bought an XBOX 360 and he has lost his damn mind. We have been together for a week and we don't even talk anymore. He calls his xbox the other woman and the only time we spend together is 'in bed'. We don't live together so it's not like we see each other all the time. I'm really trying to understand, you know men and their toys, but I feel like I'm being replaced. What do you think?

It's not just the game, it's the ppl he is meeting online with the xbox live. My b/f was addicted. I gave him a choice...me or it. He finally chose me. He gave it to his son. NOW it's back! He took it back a week ago. He missed two movies this week with me cause he kept saying "15 more min"...by then it was midnight. I had watched the movies with my oldest sons. My oldest is home on leave from the USAF. I had hoped my b/f would join in "our family fun". He says xbox live destresses him. Watching movies with us isnt as much fun. On xbox live he is a "winner" in REAL life he is a LOSER. Men are getting addicted to the fantasy. Instead of making that feeling become a reality. Xbox makes ppl lazy, immature, etc. I think it should have an age limit. NO adults...since they can't limit themselves. Men wonder why women cheat...NOT spending quality time with HER may be a very good reason they cheat! And I'd bet the new guy wasn't an xbox couch potatoe!

These guys meet girls online too if he's on xbox live. NOT a healthy thing to bring into a relationship. They must be able to turn it off! It's JUST a game! The ppl in their lives: spouse, longterm sig other, kids, parents, b/f or g/f, etc are ALIVE...begging for attention. I've thought about getting one myself. Let him hear me talking to all MY male bonding xbox live buddy's...see if he still wants to keep it in our home!

I head one woman invite my man to her VA home to "watch NASCAR"! And how is xbox live different than an internet chat room????!!! Oh yea, they get to play a game together as well as chat!!!

Don't visit him while he's "xboxing". Don't even call him! Make back some friends. When he finally calls tell him your busy with real ppl. You'll get back to him when you have time.

I made myself busy on yahoo chat while he xboxed live chatting with all his ppl. It didn't take him long to give the thing to his son. Now he's stressed out. He took it back. Now he's stressing ME out. One cycle...time to move on...I suppose.

You have only been together for a week... Your already jealous of an XBOX... You need to talk to him about it then if you are having this many issues with it.

Tell him that you feel like he is spending too much time with the xbox. If he basically decides that he isn't then leave his video game addicting ***. You need someone that is going to give you alot of attention... Oh god if he gets a new game for this thing its going to be all over....

Why don't you try getting into it with him instead of allowing it to exclude you from his activities? Instead of you making the decision that either it's his xbox or you.... make it so that he can enjoy you BOTH..... Maybe if you get really good at it you'll kick his @$$ in the games he plays & he'll get so pissed that he won't want to play anymore & then you won't have to worry about the xbox at all. hahaha

I mean, the man likes his video games.... there's nothing wrong with that........ When i met my fiancee i was the same way..... I found ways, though; to get her involved by playing games with me & now she LOVES playing video games & we have a great time together.

She loves playing PC games with me & games on the Wii & PS2! We have a blast together. We don't play ALL the time, but we do play often. Having her involved makes it more fun for me too.

Give it a shot!

You've only been together for a week... I think that was a typo. Anyways, its normal to feel abandoned, give it a few weeks, the games will get old. Talk to him about it tho, tell him you arent around for decoration that when you come over you expect him to pay attention to you too. That he can play his games some other time. When you are there, you want him to hang out with you. Good luck

he's lost his mind xbox 360's aren't that great but if it was a ps3 that would be a different question but it still would be bad because he's putting games in front of you.

you should give him a reason to have the x-box be jealous of you, if you know what I mean. let him have all the time he needs and that includes you seeing men that will spend time with you, not a machine...this is 2007 not 3007.

Yep. If he's calling his x-box the other woman, then, honey, youve already been replaced. Your better off dumping him and finding a better man.

haha no offense but maybe he doesnt care for you that much then.... Or you can join him in whatever he plays so that you can play and socialize with him. I think he might like that. I dont think you should be jealous of it but try turning it off and see what happens.
