Use 1/2 inch rigid copper pipe and copper pipe stand offs. You will need 2 45 degree angles and 2 end caps plus 3 stand offs and a 10 foot section of pipe and a tubing cutter. To make it truly solid, clean, flux and soldier the joints. As an aside, I've made pan racks, fence gates and garden trellis's out of rigid copper as well. Great stuff to work with and doesn't rot.

You can use cafe rods on the windows for privacy that will still allow for light to come into the space. What's great about bay windows is that you can build a little reading nook/bench and dress it up with pillows. And then get heavier drapery that can go on the outside of the bay window (flush with the larger wall) that you can close for extra privacy or tie back for a dramatic look.

You can buy a curtain poles specially designed for bay windows in most furnishing shops and you can bend it to the exact shape of the window. They are not very expensive.

Bed, Bath & Beyond has adapters for bay windows. You would get one long rod, two adapters, and two short rods. Good luck.

If you want to make your own you can use a small diameter piece of pvc available at any hardware store. It is flexible and could be attached with hooks at several points around the window.

if it has three sides, get three small curtain rods. or if the size is unavailable, use wooden dowels cut to size with either drawer pulls or finials screwed on the end. at hardware store/home depot. they're cheap. good luck!
