I am trying this, though it might take a little longer, saves money! By "create" I mean crafting.

I guess you would appreciate whats in and around your home more if you put a lot of effort into it.

I used to make all my own curtains and bedding at a fraction of the cost of buying from a store. Plus they fitted perfect as they were made to measure.
I made matching bedding for both my daughters when they were little. Curtains, single duvet and a mini cot size cover too. all matched perfect. Tell me where on earth could I have bought a set like that. not much channce is there unless i spent an absolute fortune for some designer set that almost matched.
I have many cross stitch pictures around my home too that my daughters and I have made together.
Plus its a good talking point for visitors to your home. they always seem to notice these adorable hand made things you have.

I would if I could, but am not very creative in crafting. Believe me, I have tried even the simplest crafts and they end up looking like a joke. Oh well, not everyone's talent lies in the same areas.
