When it comes down to it, we are still animals, though highly advanced. I think it's that advancement which causes relationships. Communication by language is one of the separations between us and animals, and maybe that is our downfall. Our heads say communication and feel emotional attachment, and our body says SEX! I think that with maturity, this desire for many sexual partners can be ignored and being with your chosen mate can be easy.

I don't think the human body is designed to cheat. The human mind is what makes the decisions to cheat, and everyone's mind is different.

Some people have the need to be in a relationship with someone familiar for a long time.... others get bored with one person & cheat on them.......... But i do not believe that each human being is designed to cheat.

The real answer is this. Families are a product of civilized society. Many decades ago people discovered that a family unit provided stability to growing children and that was good for society. Studies show that monogomy actually helps societies lower there incidents of sexually transmitted diseases. However, you are correct that humans have tendancy to find themselves attracted to other people, even though they are married. This is normal. I always say we have cave men bodies in a modern world. We cannot shake our natural tendancy to procreate but we have to temper that with what we know is good for our family. Dont cheat.

Well I don't think it's human nature to CHEAT per se, but it is in our nature to want change. Its ok if you want to be with several people because you need variety. The problem that I don't think is natural , is LYING to someone about your need to be with other people. That's the problem, not the cheating. Sleeping with several people is ones perrogative. Its not a bad thing if you don't have someone hanging on the side believing your being faithful. Sleeping with several people may be natural, but not LYING to people. Just don't get into relationships and you can be the $lut puppy you want to be!!

People get into relationships because humans have intelligence, higher love and the power to control their urges -- not just animal instincts. If we were meant to just sleep with anyone we want, then there wouldn't be sexually transmitted diseases -- that would go against the laws of nature and nature/God is never wrong.

We are basically not exclusive creatures, there was a time when we were, many many years ago. In our own time it is different as society has taught us to be loyal to a single spouse. It is nature vs nurture. But civilized means staying in pairs.

The human body isn't designed to cheat....the human mind is where the concept of cheating originates from.

That aside, cheating is a choice some people make...it doesn't make us all pre-disposed to it.

The human body isn't designed for cheating. That's the immaturity in people that do that.
