For me hope is when you believe in God, when you believe in yourself. Even if you had a very unhappy moment in your life or bad luck, you leave your problems in God's hands and if you believe in Him you will also believe in yourself because He loves you and will not leave you in your difficult moments. Hope is to be sure that everything will be OK, that everything is in the right place, that problems will be solved, that money will come at the right moment, that the health will get better, that children will grow healthy and smart, that we will not be a victim of any kind of violence, that we will have all the answers, that we will get a job, that we will pass the final exam in school, that will be able to do and buy things, that we will have a happy marriage or relationship, and, most of all, that if we don't get everything above, it is because there is a reason behind it, which is our spiritual progress and understanding. Hope is trust!!

Even though "reality" does not comform with your "ideal", you don't stop trying to be better.
If you find an example of someone having been through your same problem and come out resentment free, you have even more hope you can do it too.
Hope can make a difference in People's lives. We have so much potential to be good.
Our conscience always tries to guide us for the better ... but if we don't have hope, we surrender to what is comfortable instead.
i am addicted to giving people hope ... even from the basic answer to "Goodmorning. How are you?" from a shop clerk.
Answer: (with a glint in my eye and a hint of a smile) "Slightly Fantastic !"
I try to leave staff much happier for me passing by there.

There always has been so much for all of us to despair about in life. Each generation through out time , all the genocide, hate crimes, Religious wars, pro-life, abortions, crimes against children, on and on, "pathos, it looms in the distance as a speck, and as I stare it comes to me growing larger as it comes closer. Then it engulfs me and passes thru me, and for a brief instant I feel the agony and despair of all those that have died violently and needlessly ,for eons ,by the hands of evil, and I scream their screams. And when it is over I open my eyes, and I hope. And I continue on, so that others will see that I have not given up, and so that they may also have hope. Sometimes that is the only "gift" we can give to one another." I believe "Hope" is the one true gift from our Creator to us. It is ours forever.

Hope, to me, means that one day my faith will be fulfilled when I see my Lord, Jesus Christ. I t means, I will inherit the kingdom of God, and live forever to serve God the Father. It means that my sinful nature will be taken away from me, and a new body will be given to me. It also means that I will not face the wrath of God and be thrown to a second death in the lake of fire for eternity. This is worth all my faith and my hope.

Right now it means pain.
I wish I had no hope because then I could accet that there is no chance for me and my ex. I could start to heal.
Hope = not giving up because thigns will get better. (and sometimes you actually need to just give up)
hope = things will brighten up (sometimes they won't)
