Sorry. Any numb your backside of head or any numb or pain on your head the best thing to do is see a doctor, especially a neurologist. I had problems what you say. Never cared but eventually, sadly, I passed out and eventually I had a small stroke, which I did know, and had to go to an Emergency Room.

There was a neurologist and he send me to take a C-Scan which was negative but still he felt that there was something wrong. He had me take an MRI, and they found my aneurysm and the worst, he said, I had to go to the hospital to clip my aneurysm. If I did not, I may die within two weeks or three months. So I was lucky, I may have died quickly.

10 years later, I am still living, althought I have problems from a bigger stroke after the surgery. Imagine if you do nothing about those pains, you may die or have a big stroke when you can be a vegetable.

So, please, ask your doctors, although all doctors are not the best. Check a neurologist, it is expensive but it is better than to live.

It's highly unlikely!
The nerves that carry sensation from the back of your head have nothing to do with your memory,- nor your brain, for that matter.
You are probably experiencing numbness due to muscle tension. Get a massage from a qualified therapist.

Find the cause for your numbness... Chances are it's a pinched nerve . You need to check with a Dr. as soon as possible to find cause...
