i've travelled quite a bit and in a couple years i'd like to move somewhere over seas and retire.?

i'm american so visa's rules for americans are important.i'm looking for very cheap,fairly safe,and i have to have access to warm weather,such as living in india in the north i could still go down south,as opposed to living in norway.
i'm 39 and will only have $200,000,which will give me $8,000 a year to live on.any ideas?

Hoards of americans and europeans live in thailand for the cheap cost of living. It's never cold there, and there are lots of beaches.
