Right I'm off work today and she'll be home in a few hours. I've got dinner sorted but the silly idea is that she likes watching this show and complains if I talk during it. I'm going to massage her feet while its on. The silly bit is I'm going to let her put tape on my mouth or her sock in while the show is on. This is for a joke/giggle. Do you think she'd like this? Would you? Thanks.

Omigod! That's a FABULOUS idea! My husband does the same thing -- he's always babbling & putting in his own 2 cents -- even thru my soaps WHICH ARE FAKE!. His voice is SO deep & resonant that it completely drowns out the audio on the TV! My daughter & I are always telling him to BE QUITE! DO IT! DO IT! & don't take off that tape! Woo hoo!

Go for the tape, not the sock (ewww!) and let her know with a smile that you're doing it because you know she doesn't want you talking during her show. I would think it very cute and thoughtful, if someone were to do that for me. (Especially the foot rub part!)

Um it's up to you if you want this done to you but it sounds a little degrading. The massage sounds nice.
Maybe in the future she should watch the show before coming over?

I do think that is silly, why don't you respect her wishes and not talk through the show, wait until the advertistments, I think you can be quiet for a short time.
If you don't like the show, read a book, or go and work on your computer, but respect her wishes, that is all she is asking for.

lol thats funny she might be sutterly trying to styart a session of bondage with you. as a couple i think its healthy to try new things or the reality is she wants to shut you up while she watches her program and she is trying to make it as a joke, but you could make it fun if you know what i mean! good luck have a nice night!
