i mean we are constantly consuming them wheather we like it or not. why is it so socially unaccepable to eat them? why do some people eat them? do they taste good?

They don't taste good, hawk a loogey in a bowl and drink it. Try it with salt. They are gross because for one everyone knows that they carry germs and diseases, the mucus in our nose is a trap for dirt. We naturally stay away from dirty things, like for example you wouldnt go lick a rotting bird on the road. Some people eat boogers because they are retarded. For some reason this is actually common among people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I'm not sure to be honest, it might be because they don't know what else to do with it.

I don't know about you but I DON'T eat my boogers. Gross! It is socially unacceptable to eat them because who wants to watch and look at someone eating their boogers! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooossssssssssssssssss!!!! People eat them because they are gross and they don't know any better. They do not taste good.

Socially, boogers have probably become taboo because mucuous and the associated membranes are receptors and transmitters for disease. If you have ever had influenza, you probably got it in a similar fashion as this:
Infected person sneezed on hands. Infected person walks around, opens doors, touches tables, water faucets, etc...spreading germs to everything they touched. you come along and open same door, of use same water fountain, or whatever...germs now on your hand. You touch your nose to scratch, or stifle a sneeze...you're infected.
For this reason, it's only natural that we would place taboo on the handling and consumption of snot.

they are gross because it's dried snot with millions of airborne germs in it. your body can handle whats inside of it that it digests, but boogers from your nostrils are the most filthy ones. its unacceptable to eat them because people can get sick from them and make other people sick. People eat them because they have a nasty habbit just like biting nails or sucking your thumb, i will never know if they taste good.

well to tell u the truth most people pick their nose and eat their boogers even if they deny it. but they only do it in private. idk y some ppl eat them, but if u want to know if they taste good or not then try them. ur body makes it, it cant be that gross.
