I use my hair straighteners and it always lasts.

The way that I curl my hair with my GHD Straighteners is to:

1) Wash and condition (I use the GHD range from www.salonlines.co.uk)
2) Finger-dry my hair using a blow dryer. Split the hair roughtly into 3" sections from the nape of my neck. I then spray a little GHS Iron Styling spray intothe second and using my thumb apply a small amount of GHD precision wax from the middle of the strand tot he end.
3) Using my GHD Hair Straightener I then place the iron vertical to my head, as close to my scalp as I can get it. Turn the iron about 180 degrees away from my head and pull it downwatds in one smooth move. (Very similar to how I would curl a ribbon on a gift.
4) When I have finished I always spray a little GHD dry hairspray (Medium hold)

Tip 1: The slower your perform the curl the tighter it will be.
Tip 2: If it doesn't work first time. Do not try to redo it straight away, let the hair cool down first.

I buy all of my products from www.salonlines.co.uk as these do the best deal around, they deliver promptly and I have always had excellent service from them.

I hope that this helps and Good Luck!

Is your hair all one length? Is it layered? Remember, the more layers you have, the more curls you get. Do you have product already dried into your hair for hold? If you can’t let it dry naturally, here are quick fixes to get curls in any length.

For short, straight hair, use a 1-inch barrel curling iron all over your hair. Curl pieces of hair, making sure you are tucking in the ends so the curl does not flip out. After curling, rub some wax or pomade on both your hands. Flip your hair to the side and rub your fingers through it for loose curls. If you want tight curls, spray some firm hairspray on it until you are ready to show those curls off.

For medium to long hair, it might take a bit of work, but you too can get the waves or curls you like. For un-layered, straight hair, you can get curls, but it’s going to be very flat on the top of your head and very heavy and curly at the bottom. Invest in some hot rollers; getting curls only takes 10 minutes with hot rollers — twenty minutes if you are brave and want it really curly. As you wrap the pieces of hair around the roller, spray hairspray in a downward motion and lightly stroke the ends before rolling. This will help you get a better defined curl. Start rolling 1-inch sections from front to back, then do your sides and top. Leave them in 10 minutes and voila!

For medium to long layered hair, scrunch with the strongest hairspray you can get your hands on, but combine it with a soft gel or mousse to get a softer yet holding curl. It’s guaranteed to give you curls all day. Pin some of those sections of hair up if you plan to make it a night-time event or hot date.

I have naturally curly hair and its a pain to deal with it, I don't know why you would put that hassle on yourself.
From my friends asking how I get my hair so curly (even though I don't) I wanted to give them an answer other than "Its natural." So I experimented and it helps to use a curling product (ie, hairspray) before AND after you curl your hair. Try Herbel Essassances or whatever, all their products are pretty spiffy.
And I realize you said "other than hair products" but I don't see how you can do it without the aid of a hair product to keep it in tacked.

in case you're applying heated curler's then there is your concern. with the exception of being very undesirable on your hair additionally they arrive out immediately. it maintains to be while that's warm yet as quickly because it gets chilly it extremely is it. use the previous technique your mum used to apply. attempt rag rollers. those made up of froth that twist. they're extra ideal on your hair, they use no warmth and that they stay in. it additionally seems very organic, no longer pretend. or extra carry attempt conditioning hair gel spray. squirt it on every time in the previous you wrap some hair up.. for much extra carry use a hairdryer whilst they're there, then sleep in it. take it out an hour or so in the previous you % it to make some very final touches. the only concern I certainly have discovered with it extremely is that numerous the curls will possibly no longer finally end up interior the suitable place you wanted. if so you should use hair grips to hold them down or use hair serum ro soft any concern factors. they won't flow each time quickly. savor the promenade! if that would not artwork then get an updo achieved. they're extremely soft and intensely candy.
