You have created an awful of problems for yourself that might hinder your march to your goal. Are there all black schools? Only one of those kids of your wife's is a dependent so your GI Bill should help you and you can take out student loans like the rest of the world which do not have to be paid back until you graduate or leave school. Living on campus is harder these days because so many colleges no longer offer married with children housing. You have to pick out a school and start talking to them. You may be able to get work in a college infirmary as an aide or a local hospital for extra cash.

Ummm....i think your goals are unrealistic. Say you join a frat, your life has too many responsibility to even blend with single men without kids, plus you have to pay at least a 300 dollar fee (probably per semester including tuition) and not including additional fee associated with frats. I have not mention the total dedication needed to participate. I believe your daughter should be your frat, and not associating with young boys.

Now, you could go to school full time and live on campus. Some colleges have dorms for students who are married and have kids. Of course, there may be an age limit for them. I don't think you could have the 20 years to live with you. If the 18 year is in college, I suggest he/she get their own dorm. Question, what happens when the fall semester is over? Where are you live during the summer session?

To find colleges that offer housing for students, which are few in number, go to www.review.com to search under your criteria. You may want to look outside black schools for better results. Good luck!!

This is a complicated question. Obviously someone, you or your wife, have to bring in an income. Otherwise living on campus and going to school full time would be impossible.

Having said that, under the GI bill you can get federal aid and go to school. The best bet is to contact someone from the military as to your options.

Your wife's criminal record has nothing do with your eligability to enter college.

Another idea is to explore going to school on line. You can work full time and still get a degree and aid. The benefit is you can do your work when it's convenient for you with no rigid class schedule.

well it seems like you want to get away from your family, if you would like to live on campus and join a frat. you are young also... anyway.

you should look into

Tuskegee University but its in Alabama. It's a prestigious african american school. established by Booker T. Washington. and George Washington Carver worked there too.
