My favorite is Beef Stroganoff! Definetly a comfort food!
My fiance, my dad, and both my brothers love this too!

INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 (10.75 ounce) can fat free condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Prepare the egg noodles according to package directions and set aside.
In a separate large skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes, or until browned. Drain the fat and add the soup and garlic powder. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and combine the meat mixture with the egg noodles. Add the sour cream, stirring well, and season with salt and pepper to taste

Potato Casserole.

-2 cans of cream of potato soup
-Several medium to large size potatos
-Bacon bits (I usually use two to three containers found in the salad section)
-Colby jack cheese
-Chives

Boil the potatoes until barely soft. Drain them and chop them up into square pieces as big or as small as you like (the smaller the faster it cooks, the bigger the longer it cooks). Take you 9x11 pan and spread the potatoes to fill it. Pour the soup over the potatoes generously. Pour one container of bacon bits over the potatoes. Cover with cheese. Put in oven at 350 degrees for about 20 to 30 minutes typically. About 5 minutes before the casserole is done pull it out and add the chopped chives, the rest of the bacon bits and a bit more cheese. Voila!

Or try this breakfast casserole, its very filling and since we don't have time in the morning to make breakfast, we usually make it for dinner.

OK, I'm not a meat eater, but whatever meat you choose, try this pasta with vodka sauce on the side, instead of potatoes. It's heaven, and really easy and quick to make. My hints are: be sure to use fresh grated good quality parmesan cheese; don't be afraid to add the vodka to the boiling water; don't worry-the alcohol boils off.

season and sautee some chicken in a skillet with a little oil in it. then put it in a casserole dish and pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over it and a half can of water, and some dried thyme. bake it for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven with the lid on. serve with mashed potatoes and dinner rolls because the gravy is incredible! you can also throw in a few carrots and onions in your casserole dish too before baking in the oven. delicious!

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes are always good comfort foods. Just use the standard Lipton onion soup mix recipe and you can't go wrong!

Mashed potatoes are good so are scalloped potatoes. As is anything with cheese. Gosh, making myself hungry.
