You can buy a bottle of lemon juice at the store, and just keep it in your fridge. That's what I do. I don't know if it will ever go bad, but you could buy a small bottle so you go through it faster. A bigger bottle will be a better price though.
My bottle of lemon juice that I bought within the past month has an expiration date of Oct 2007, so it should stay good for a long time.
I would imagine that a fresh lemon would go bad more quickly than lemon juice in a bottle would, and fresh lemons would be much more expensive.
Mold or something smelling bad are usually good indications if something has gone bad.

Fresh lemon juice lasts longer in the lemon-that is what the rind is for-when I need some to naturally bleach something on my face I cut one in half and use the old fashioned juicer thing made out of glass. If the lemon is bad, which is hard to figure unless it is green and fuzzy, nothing will happen to you if you try to use it. It just wont have the same astringent and bleaching properties. Hope that helps.

I always freeze fresh lemon juice and used it for face masks and scrubs. Squeeze the juice as soon as possible and freeze immediately. Only defrost when you are ready to use it (its very quick to defrost). It also makes a refreshing face mask when you use on your face while lemon juice is in its "slushy" (not entirely defrosted) state - though I wouldn't recommend this in winter.
I sometimes grate the rind into the juice as well as the rind contains the natural oils which are suppose to be good as a natural way of sloughing away dead skin cells.

I don't save fresh lemon juice for more than 2-3 days. Whole lemons easily last a week in my fridge though. And I've heard that you can freeze the juice in ice cube trays in the freezer. (Haven't tried it, there's no room in the freezer!)

I juice them and put them in an ice cube tray. When frozen, they go into a zipper bag and back into the freezer. Each cube is about a fluid ounce or so, depending on the size of the ice tray compartments. These will last a couple of years in a good freezer.

The freah. juice from only from the ripen lemon should be used. Any vegetable material / components / ingradients should be used in fresh state. Firmantation starts (slow or fast ) when the vegetable material comes in contact with air (i.e. with oxigen) and water. THIS IS MY BELIEF.
