I know you should run them in the winter when it is dry, but when is a good point that they aren't needed anymore?

I only used them when my sinuses were stopped up. I believe you could turn it off now, if your not sick or running the furnace. That would be the other reason in the winter is to put some humidity in the room. So I say turn it off.

If the air is not dry and warm then you can put it up till your allergies start acting up then you have to turn it on again!

In the Spring, when it starts raining. I open our windows, and the moisture from outside is more than enough.
